This program has been developed by an international team at the Parent-Infant Research Institute (Australia) and the Oregon Research Institute (United States).
This program is based on collaborative work of a team of researchers and clinicians who are experts in treating depression (including specific expertise in treating postnatal depression) and in the development of Web-based interventions for health behavior change. It has been developed by the Oregon Research Institute (USA; Brian G. Danaher, PhD, John R. Seeley, PhD, Pete Lewinsohn, PhD, and Milagra S. Tyler, MAT), the Parent-Infant Research Institute (Australia; Jeannette Milgrom, PhD, Charlene Schembri, DClinPsych, and Jennifer Ericksen, MClinPsych) and the University of Iowa (Scott Stuart, MD, Michael W. O'Hara, PhD, and Whitney Lester, MA).
The Parent-Infant Research Institute (PIRI), based in Melbourne Australia, is committed to supporting all parents and their babies, including those with vulnerabilities, to have the best possible start to life (prenatal to 2 years) by creating a Centre of Excellence whose activities are designed to improve emotional wellbeing and optimize development.

The Iowa Depression and Clinical Research Center (IDCRC) at the University of Iowa has been conducting research on women's emotional experiences during pregnancy and postpartum period since 1980. The IDCRC is a joint project of the University of Iowa Departments of Psychology and Psychiatry.
The mission of the IDCRC is to serve as a comprehensive Center for research and treatment of perinatal psychiatric disorders and a Center for research on psychotherapy. Our primary foci are research, dissemination of knowledge, and quality training for undergraduate and graduate students and other professionals. The IDCRC is affiliated with the Women's Wellness and Counseling Service at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

The purpose of this policy is to inform you about the types of personal information PIRI may collect when you use the MumMoodBooster website, how we may use that information, and whether we disclose it to anyone.
We ensure that personal information is collected and managed in accordance with the 10 Information Privacy Principles of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic).
Visitors to the MumMoodBooster website remain anonymous. We do not collect personal information unless you choose to provide such information to us. When you register for the MumMoodBooster program, we collect identifiable information, including your name, contact details, and any additional data necessary for program participation.
Your phone number is collected so that our MumMoodBooster team can send you supportive SMS messages throughout the program, which we deem an important part of your support. Any personal information, including your phone number, will not be shared with any third party, except as required by law. Our SMS communication with you will only last for the duration of the program, which is 6 weeks plus follow-up, equating to approximately 12 weeks. You can opt-out at any time from these SMS messages.
The personal information you provide when registering for MumMoodBooster is used to identify you as a program participant and to manage your account and program access. Your email address may be used to send you notifications relevant to your account. We will not use your personal information for any other purpose without your explicit consent.
The information provided in the MumMoodBooster website is designed to assist mothers with postnatal depression. MumMoodBooster has been shown to be effective in decreasing symptoms of postnatal depression in mothers (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3841354/; https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26952645). While the MumMoodBooster program may reduce depression symptoms in some people, PIRI and ORI and their staff make no claims that MumMoodBooster will assist every mother.
The MumMoodBooster website collects and stores information about your interactions, including pages visited and data entered while logged into your account. This information is necessary for enhancing your experience and ensuring seamless access during subsequent logins.
Your use of the website remains confidential; however, only collated, group data which is de-identified may be used for research and publicity purposes. Data will be kept for an indefinite period.
PIRI will not disclose any personal information about you without your express consent, except where such disclosure is required or authorized by law, or necessary to lessen or prevent a serious threat to your life, health, safety, or welfare, or to public health or safety. To further ensure your privacy, please keep your username and password confidential.
If you are eligible for and opt-in to receive MumMoodBooster coaching calls this is provided by trained counsellors at PANDA, a specialist organization that helps families get information and support for perinatal depression and who are also partners of the MumSpace consortium.
To facilitate this service some of your information is shared with them. This also includes information you provide during the program and during coaching sessions.
The coaching is designed to support your experience with the MumMoodBooster program. PANDA will only use this information to assist you and will keep your information confidential in accordance with their privacy policies.
Your personal information is securely stored on servers at PIRI, protected by industry-standard encryption and firewall technology. Access to this information is limited to authorized personnel for maintenance and operational purposes.
